These AFFORDABLE Stand Alone 6” CNC Rotary Indexers (are NOT intended for metal machining work). They could be used for accurate positioning of job parts, laser positioning for auto indexing, holes, etc… They were primarily designed to be used as “Stand Alone” or “Add on Axis” for CNC or Manual Hot Wire Foam Cutting Machines, etc… They are cheaper, weight less, produce less torque, and can turn much faster than most CNC Rotary Tables of comparable size. Hot Wire Foam Cutting “does not” require a lot of torque because the Hot Wire should not touch the foam it is cutting. The torque is only needed to overcome an out of balance piece of foam or object being rotated in the Horizontal/Vertical position. So for that reason, balance of the foam work piece should be kept within the Indexers torque limits. The lower torque is also great for when things go wrong to help prevent damage to the work and/or equipment. The Indexers can maintain near zero backlash because they use an “adjustable” GT2 drive system for reduction and therefore are great at fast accurate “Indexing” for many types of work (within their working limits).
They can also be used for Rotary 3D Laser Scanning of objects that can be placed on the indexer, and more. You can easily add a larger disk to the existing 6” aluminum drive plate. The add-on disk could be made of whatever material you find suitable to accommodate larger diameter objects that need to be indexed, rotated and/or scanned within the capability of the indexer. The Rotary Indexers are GT2 belt driven with a 5:1 ratio and use a 70 In Oz stepper motor for the drive power. The Rotary Indexers can provide fast indexing accuracies of 0.225 degrees, which is more than adequate for fast foam cutting or 3D Laser scanning.

Stand Alone CNC Controller
EASY TO USE!
Simply plug in the Rotary Indexer into the stand alone controller VIA the 10’ DB9 control cable, then plug the Stand Alone Controller to a regular wall 110/120V AC source, turn it ON and you are all set to go!
The stand-alone controller is completely contained within its controller housing (no external power supply is required). It also has a built in cooling fan, and has more features than you will probably ever use/need. It can also accommodate other stepper motor drive systems with up to 24V 3A.
